We’ll teach you some ways to sharpen your skills. Creative visualization is the basis for guided meditation and much magical work. We will explore seeing, hearing, smelling, feeling, and tasting with the mind. This interactive workshop should not be missed!

Introduction to the Use of the Pendulum

What is a pendulum? How do you use it? What can it do? This two hour workshop, geared to those who have never used a pendulum before, acquaints the beginner with the power and working of the pendulum. The pendulum is a simple, effective method of divination (which is just a fancy way of saying getting answers to your questions), as well as an instrument to detect energy. Elena will lead this adventure as participants discover the energy vortexes (minor chakras) in the palms of their hands, and learn to formulate the yes/no queries that will allow the pendulum to help them in the decision-making process. Participants will learn how to determine what their accuracy level is and will work with a pendulum to practice receiving yes and no answers in addition to other exercises designed to strengthen their pendulum skills.

Are you drawn to stones and crystals? Do you wonder about their energies and properties, how to use them, how to care for them, how to identify them? Learn some of the basics about the two largest groups of stones and crystals - quartz and chalcedony. Elena will answer the questions most commonly asked in her tenure as owner of Off the Beaten Path and will share some of her personal insights. This interactive workshop allows time for hands-on experience in addition to plenty of question and answer time. An identified set of the stones introduced in this workshop will be available for sale after the workshop.

Explore the historical and modern spiritual uses of aromatherapy, and deepen your natural magic with the use of essential oils. This 2 hour workshop will introduce you to essential oils and the basics of aromatherapy and explore the application of aroma in spells, rituals and meditation.
Lorraine Rubino has been practicing natural magick for over 10 years. She is an initiated Green Witch and has studied with renowned herbalist and author Robin Rose Bennett as well as at the Heart of Herbs School with aromatherapist and herbalist, Demetria Clark. She is a member of the NorthEast Herbal Association and the American Herbalist Guild.
