Pendulum for Beginners Workshop

This workshop will cover a bit of the history of the pendulum, its evolution through time, how a pendulum works, and the various reasons a pendulum is used. This is an inter-active class with a hands-on approach and some pendulums will be supplied. If you prefer, you may bring your own pendulum or you may purchase one at the store during the short break.
Phoenix Starr is descended from a long line of Wise Women, seers, and healers. Referred to as a Stone Talker, she was greatly encouraged by her mother, aunts, and brother since early childhood to enhance her hereditary gifts of psychometry and clairsentience. Phoenix applies her gifts and Shamanic training in the healing arts and stonework to making gemstone beaded channeled jewelry and gemstone beaded pendulums.

This 2 hour interactive workshop, which is a practical supplement to the Crafting the Art Magickal (Spellwork) workshop but also works very well as a stand-alone class, offers practical knowledge regarding your personal energy field. During this class we will learn about the human aura, chakras, and other conduits of energy that can be found within the human physical body, and we will perform practical exercises for gathering, moving and manipulating your personal energy. Knowing how to manipulate your personal energy field is the first step to being able to direct that energy for magickal uses.
Nancy Fader's ("Raushanna") love of belly dance deepened as she learned of its long history and use as a sacred dance of Goddess worship. This, combined with her lifetime love of nature and animals, led Nancy to seek spiritual fulfillment in Wicca; she is a Third Degree dedicant of a teaching coven into which she was initiated in 2005.

Marlene Leitman will share the basics with you, and you can experience the quality of these oils by sampling and smelling many of them at this workshop.
Marlene Leitman has been a massage therapist for 15 years; she is a reiki healer, hospice volunteer, and wellness counselor.

Belly Dance Tools of the Trade – Belly Rolls, Accents, and Flutters

This three week class will focus on "finding" the abdominal muscles used to create smoothly flowing belly rolls, sharp muscular accents using both upper and lower abdominal muscles, and the abdominal flutter, and strengthening those muscles. A basic knowledge of the concept of "isolation" as used in Belly Dance is recommended. Be prepared to sweat!
Nancy Fader, "Raushanna", has been dancing and performing for over 20 years (Troop Odalisque; Fantasy) and has been teaching classes and workshops for over ten years.
