I think we are finally at an end with Glen's health issue. He had his surgery in mid July. The results of his blood test this month were very good, so I think we will be back to our normal schedule from now on. A huge thank you goes out to all who who had us in their thoughts and prayers, and to all our customers for having been so understanding and patient during this extremely stressful time for us.  In the future, I will always try to put a notice on our facebook page if Off the Beaten Path will be closed for health or weather related reasons.

You asked for classes on Saturdays. We’re in the process of finalizing new classes for the first quarter of 2012 and are happy to tell you that there will be at least nine new classes and they will be held on Saturday!

Each week we will announce a different item (or items) that will be on sale to help towards your holiday shopping. The sale item may not be put on layaway, but all other items in the store can be (subject to the $50 total order minimum). There is NO FEE for layaway. You pay 10% down (that's only $5 on a $50 order) and make weekly payments of 10% for the next 9 weeks. Layaway payments must be made in cash unless they are mailed in, in which case a check will be accepted. Abandoned layaways are subject to a restocking fee of the initial deposit or 20% of total paid, whichever is greater.

The sale item is announced on the Off the Beaten Path Facebook page and an email is sent to all those on the mailing list.

We have just received a new shipment of therapy stones.  What's a therapy stone?  It's a polished stone in half-fist to fist size suitable for holding or placing under your massage table during meditation or healing sessions.  This shipment included star rose quartz, carnelian, polychrome jasper, blue calcite, labradorite, lapis lazuli, and tigeriron.
